Was thinking of purchasing one of these to extend my 70-200 f4. I realise it will become f5.6 but the auto focus will still work so that's OK. I know canon have brought out a III version and I might wait for that one for the improved quality. But, I was checking out ebay for this lens and came across the following. They have good feedback so I don't think that would be a problem.
The extender is around $350 with other sellers yet only $173 with the linked one. Very tempting. Your thoughts.

EDITED TO ADD
For those that use the 1.4x II how have you found the picture quality with it.

| Didn't they just release a new one of the 1.4 converters?? Might want to wait a bit to get a better price... or spring for the newer one (which based on Canon normal would be more $$). |

The 1.4x II TC works great, I use it a lot on my 300 f/4 and 500 f/4, great results, sharp. And that's a great price you got there.
