This could be a challenge were we are not allowed to title the image; it must speak for itself, through visual appeal and subject matter.
Any thoughts?

Right off the bat? I think of a series of, say, three untitled shots...

Sounds like a good challenge

I think I would prefer a single word title then a no title challenge. |

Uhhh. Isn't that called something like "June free study?"

Not totally. It would be like an open challenge but there wouldn't be a title. With a Free Study you title it whatever.
I like the idea

Very good idea.
It would give a test run for a site feature I am sure I've seen suggested; a no titles displayed during voting option in preferences.
There is one problem though. While there is no need to refer to a specific photo during the challenge, afterward it would get annoying quickly to always refer to the shot as so-and-so's 'No-title challenge entry'. It would end up getting a name, just not an official one. Is there a way to change the name of challenge entries after the challenge?

Yeah, it's seems to be a free study challenge....here we go, next free study month, just have no names on them....Or, there is 2 parts to this idea, 1. no names, 2. the theme shall be emotional of some sort. Something in the photo that no words are needed and can just tell what the photo is expressing.
Hmmm, Take a photo of a place, person or thing to express feeling with out words....something like that!?
But need's to be more defined....I think...
I have seen a photo that Life Mag. wanted to put on their front cover. But to much nudity....However, I didn't need any words to describe what the photo was about, I knew right off the bat that it was about rape. A female was nude, but covered with her arms and hands on the obvious areas. Yet, else where there were hand prints in red...hint of violation and with her nude like such....I knew that it was rape and date rape was the caption. I wish I knew where that photo was, it's on the net somewhere and used to show how to make a great photo and use a photo to communicate....(without words)
I'm on the right track with this idea and I'm with you dimitrii
......I just can't really put it in words....(no pun intended) |

I think this is what you are referring to. (image <-- like he said, contains nudity and a message.)
