Very cool. What are the dates? And did you end up going to the last one, or is this the same one?

The workshop will be in Las Vegas October 9th and 10th

Thank you for your inquiry for the upcoming Manny Librodo Las Vegas workshop on October 9 and 10, 2010. There are still slots available at this time. Here are more details:

The workshop will consist of a full day of shooting for the first day and a full day of post-processing for the second day.

The workshop location is not yet set in stone but our planned location will be in Nelson, NV Ghost town and the lecture location is Harrah̢۪s on the Las Vegas strip. I will announce the final location before the last week of August.

The accomodations will be in Harrah's hotel, we will provide you a group discount code. This location is not yet final as well.

The workshop fee for the two days will be $1000 ($500 to reserve your spot and $500 due on October 1st). Cancellations will be accepted with a full refund before September 20th. Cancelations after September 20th incur a $250 no show fee, unless you find another person to take your spot. For a limited time we are offering $150 off the workshop fee (until July 30th only).

There will be 3-6 models for the first day shared by approximately 15 participants.

Basic knowledge in operating your camera will help you make the most out of this workshop. Please know how to adjust and set the following settings:

* Aperture
* Shutter speed
* ISO
* White balance
* Exposure compensation
* Switching from RAW to JPG

Please bring the following equipment for the first day:

* SLR Camera
* 1-3 Lenses. My suggestion for a full frame camera bring a 24-70mm zoom or for a cropped sensor 17-55mm.
* Fully charged battery
* Memory cards to hold about 1000 pictures

On the second day of the workshop you will be working with Photoshop and it will be helpful if you are familiar with the names of the basic tools and where they are (e.g. Brush, Lasso, Dodge and Burn tools).

For the second day please bring the following:

* Laptop with Photoshop CS2 or higher
* Power adapter
* Card reader
* Mouse
* Mouse pad

Note: If you do not have a laptop please let me know early on and I will try to arrange a rental for you to use for an extra fee. We have had participants that had no prior knowledge of Photoshop and that's fine too, there will be people there to help guide you.

The accommodation though can be anywhere you want.

I am going to be staying at the Hilton, got a great rate, they have not decided where the PS work will be done (What hotel)

I will be driving up from Tucson to Las Vegas on the 7th, so if any one needs a lift up there I will take you.

Well it would be up my alley, if the person that organized this actually did any bloody work to promoting this or let anyone know there actually was a workshop going on in Vegas.

So now I am stuck with a hotel room, a babysitter booked, a new 70-200 Canon lens and I am trying to advertise the heck out of it in the vague hopes it won't get cancelled. I have managed to get 3 more people to come so now we are up to the grand total of 6.

I so wish this was not in October. I just can not fit it in but would love to do a Manny seminar, especially with Cirque du Soleil artists as models. Wow! What an opportunity. I'm amazed not more people are all over this.
