I got a "new" computer.....actually kind of a hand-me-down from my father-in-law who passed away a while back, and have gotten it set up and running. It has a ton less hours on it than my other one, and it's slightly newer and better, though it's laid out basically the same. Since I had not so long ago installed Elements 7 in my laptop, and was quite pleased with it, I thought I'd throw Elements 8 in this one and see what I think actually having the same operating conditions as my other machine that has CS2.

It'd prolly a reflection more on my limited capabilities than anything else, but I really am happy with Elements 8, moreso than with my CS2, primarily because there's so much more adjustability in the RAW converters. The only thing I have found that I miss is the patch tool, but that has forced me to become more proficient with the clone stamp and the healing tools. Not a deal-breaker....

I was able to download and install Topaz as I purchased that, and I am thoroughly delighted with the way that everything works for me.

$90 beats the daylights out of $700 any time, IMO.
