So let me preface this by saying, that I have absolutely no experience or skill when it comes to Still Life photography. The fact that it should be black and white only makes this harder for me. I don't really know what "makes" a picture. And I can't really tell what make one picture better than another and why.

So I have been working really hard at trying to figure this thing out, and have been trying many different things, and am now stuck deciding between two completely and utterly different photographs.

One is a "safe" easy route middle of the packer
The other is unique. But with my limited experience I can't tell if its unique in an awesome or awful kind of way.

I am looking for 3 people to look at my photos and give me their opinion, both on which they like better and which would score higher.
Of course I ask that you then do not vote on the image in the challenge.

In return I would be completely willing to look at your entry should you require an opinion as well.

Who would be willing to help this newbie out? :-)

Taking a break right now - fire off the links in a PM to me and I will give you a fair and balanced critique/suggestions. Won't vote on yours but the critique/suggestions feedback might help you more:-)

I can help out this time. I likely won't get to vote (see the South Africa thread), so you wouldn't be losing anything :)

Thank you everyone for the feedback. Turns out my gut choice was the right one (or at least the one you all unanimously agreed on :-))
I think I have learned quite a bit just from the advice given, and I really appreciate that.
