i agree, all the news agencies photoshop the material now, so why should we be restricted? in fact it should be expert editing. we need to be able to add and remove content to form our bias.

No, that would be advanced editing. That's going too far in the other direction.

Yeah those sort of things are way beyond ethical and would get you fired. We had a younger photographer who removed redeye(very poor job too) and he no longer works there because of that.

lol...I remember reading about a photographer who had a shot of Mark Messier coming in on net to score the winning goal in one of the Edmonton Oilers hockey games. He wanted to show the puck going in so he put a puck in the net in the final print. Unfortunately he forget to take the OTHER puck out. The Edmonton Journal had to print an apology to its readers. Had the photographer been less senior he probably would have been fired. That was the one and only time he tried anything like that.
