When you have your 35mm film developed and have it put onto a cd, how should it look? Is it good to go or do you need to edit and post process for grain, etc.? Do they scan the negative or is there some other technique? Thanks.

Thanks, Harry.
I'm still wondering, though. The prints look pretty good. The photos on the cd look pretty bad. (Probably where I took it to be developed. I won't mention Wally world.)

Marjo,

Any CD's that I have ordered at the time of film developing have all been done from the negatives. The pics from the CD can then be edited and printed per your processing parameters. I personally find this easier that scanning the negatives myself and better quality that scanning the prints. I typically do not order prints if I order a CD, as I will then edit and print my own.
