OK  jminso I got my final shot in. According to the "Still Life" thread I'll be lucky to break 5. Threads like that are getting so old, it's really taking the fun out of this site for me. "Good Luck".........ace |

Good luck, I haven't even shot for it yet but hope to this evening. I may be using up my once in awhile good score on my Over challenge entry and I am past due for a sub 5 shot. |

Here we go marbro, I've got my Still Life entry in and I'm really happy with it! I've put a lot of effort into this shot but that shouldn't concern you too much as I put a lot of effort into my current entry in 'Over' and its scoring in the very low 4's :-)

Though I could easily see myself being out the first round. I suck at Still Life and Black and White :-P
Edit: Oh drats. Just reread the initial post again. So if you didn't post before August 7th, you can't participate?

I just remembered, I'll be on a cruise from the 21st to the 27th with no access to the internet. If I make it through 2 rounds I will have exactly one day to find out what the challenge is and shoot for it when I get back. I'll take a ton of shots while out and hope that one of them applies.  Who am kidding though. Might not make it 2 rounds.

| I don't think I've put so much effort into a challenge in a long time. Shot again tonight, added another element. Working on composition & lighting. I'm starting to really like it....which is curse of all curses....Lol. I've never shot still life before, kind of fun. |

Yeah, I extended the deadline for registration a bit longer, but the line had to be drawn somewhere because I had to conduct a randomized draw to make the first match pairings.
What you see here is a bunch of head to head matches, half of whom will be knocked out come the rollover on the Sunday after this one.

Not yet. Still mulling ideas. Got a few and I'll have to shoot it this weekend (I'm captain obvious huh?) Been a long week. Cub Scout Camping didn't have much option for still life Monday - Wednesday. Then long work days catching up Thursday and today. Then after work I went to work again (at my Church). sigh.... So not yet..... |

I just need time, a bit of imagination, and props.... shouldnt be an issue.... I have what 24 hours left??? all I am doing tomorrow is a 3 hour shoot in the morning, an interview for lunch and a date with my husband at the fair in the evening. Not to mention I still have my term paper to finish... which is due Monday... oye.... karmat... you might just win by default lmao

erm. . . I haven't shot either. I'm editing wedding shots from last Saturday, and today had four football games to shoot, edit, and get posted, ASAP.
I *might* get to shoot my idea tomorrow. :/ |

| Although I've gone to elaborate measures setting up this shot last night, I'm not sure I like it now that it's all done and edited. It's all still set up so that I could go back to it if I need. But now I'm thinking of another idea instead. Could use the same lighting set up, just need some other items. |

| Well, I'm in, I like my shot, but in the DPC world it's probably "just ok". One never really knows until voting, however. I may nail a 6+ or find it down in the 4's. Still life is not one of my strong areas, so finishing with the pack will be a success for me. |
