Does anybody own one of these flashes? They can be bought online for just a few bucks and have a guide number of 70, which isn't bad given how cheap it is. I would like to use several of these attached to cheap optical slaves and use them as accent lights or special effects. However, I can't seem to find enough information online to determine which optical slave might work.

It looks like it has a Sub MiniPhone jack on the side but there's not a lot of clearance around the port itself so that may cause some issues with what I plug in there. Below are some photos of what it looks like.



Has anybody used an optical slave with this flash? It would be great if I didn't have to go the hotshoe route.

I don't have one of those, but I have a handful of bargain bin Vivitars that I use Wein peanut slaves on. Don't see any reason why that wouldn't work fine with an optical trigger.

Which one did you get? I was looking at the Sonia brands at FlashZebra.com since I'll be needing several and want to pay as little as possible. Has anybody tried these out? Are they as reliable as the wein?

Haven't tried any of those. The Wein peanut slaves I use have a 100' range, are under $20 each at my local camera shop, and $14.95 (USD) at Adorama
