Just installed PS CS5 yesterday.

When I open any jpg image in PS, it is completely black.

I found out if I use a tool (like the lasso) and draw on the image, the image returns.

Some images will open within another window entitled Camera RAW 6.0, but it is not a RAW image. I can edit it within that area but then when I try to open that one in a regular fashion, it also appears all black.
I am so confused.

I have found very little on this online and no answers.
