You haven't seen Skoda Superb or any of new Skoda models (Fabia, Octavia...)? They are excellent cars and practically made in Germany, by German engineers. Skoda Superb looks very similar to VW Passat...
Anyway, this is becoming Yugo/Skoda thread... I promise, I'll try to restrain myself from future comments :)) |

Maybe they did in the US, but I think it's still made in Serbia under a new name... 'Ciao' or something similar. But it still looks the same and yes, it's still a piece of crap :) |
I remember seeing posters from their american advertising campaign. it was a picture of one of thier cars (beige probably) and the slogan was "the cheapest new car in america". Like, as if, that's a GOOD thing. i do remember in a book a had though a picture of a white one wit low spoilers and the like - looked quite meaty (liked it during my hating aerodynamic cars phase, and more spoilers the better era). i think they also made a convertible (include called a skip punchline if you must) |

My only experience with Skoda is with the old models so that's where I'm coming from. Good to hear that they've improved their quality despite being the butt of jokes.
