Last night, just before I was going to bed, the power went out. I started walking towards the front of the house and saw an odd light outside the window. A limb out of my neighbors tree fell and snapped one of the powerlines. It was putting out MAJOR sparks all over the place. There was also a strong ozone smell. Anyway I ran got the cell phone and called 911. A few minutes later there were firetrucks police cars ambulances all over the place. It took around 45 min for the power company to kill the power so that the firemen could extiguish the flame. We ended up not getting power til like 2 AM. The thing that makes me mad is, all of this commotion and the battery on my camera was dead. What bad luck do I have.

Oh the fire burned so hot that it melted the dirt and made a real rough grade of glass.

It's one reason why AA powered cameras are still useful.
