How I took this was... well. As a reshoot. And in a reshoot you fix things that you perceive to be wrong with the shot, while maintaining the impact of the content. Or try new things and revert to your original.
So, changes and direct replicas were fine in my ratings.

With all due respect, please help me understand. Did you require an exact match to the member's first entry? Or, did you allow for improvements in technique, a more challenging, but similar, subject and increased degree of difficulty? |
I left a comment on all the DNMC shots indicating the vote so if you didn't get that then you didn't get a 1. It is only where I was not able to locate the original shot, as per the challenge description, that I have voted DNMC. A few photogs have kindly pointed me to the entry they used as a base and I have reviewed my vote on those shots. An exact match is not required, but I want to ensure that nobody is pulling a "47 steps" on this one ;)
Oh, and just because you don't like that I gave 1 for DNMC doesn't mean you need to comment on previous entries of mine being a dork - if you don't understand that "The title should refer to the original" means I would like to find an original with a fairly close title then just accept it like an adult!

Just to clarify, I haven't commented on any images recently, in case you were insinuating I had made some comments on your images. I do appreciate the change you made to your comment on my image. Enough said. |

No, it wasn't you, it was another DNMC receiver who made a comment on a prior entry of mine in the last few hours.
I'm happy to "upgrade" the DNMC votes when I can see the original it's based off.

I don't see a change on the vote count on the last hours.
I guessed my score at a 6.0x but it is just slightly better than the entry that I reshoot.

Truly amazing shots. Wanted to resist one of the images to a 9, but just couldn't hold it off from a 10. Gave 3 10s, 1 9, 6 8s and 2 4s. Good Luck all.

Well I still haven't located all the originals but, on the ones that I did (which was many), I would like to add that it was totally worth the effort!! There are some terrific remakes in there (commented on that fact - more comments than I've written in awhile). Voting was pretty high for me too, on average.
Take the time to go back and view the originals and I think you'll agree. |

Well I just finished voting. I so wish I had entered this one - but didn't have the time ;-(
Anyway, some gorgeous images. Some I didn't see the connection to the original except by challenge title or image title; however, they were still well done. I also couldn't find quite a few - no surprise there, I am certain is is operator error (me) not that they don't exist LOL
