35.0mm iso400 - Canon EF 24-105mm F/4L USM - 7/09/2010

Mine, of course, does not hold a candle to Ursula's blue ribbon winning image of another Mormon barn... The Thomas Alma Moulton Barn:

I have a couple pictures of Ursula's barn that I think are competitive, though. ;)

Totally understand why you would like to share that. It is fabulous. Well done indeed.

MMMM, alpenglow! Love the composition Steve... wondering, on the exposure information, I see by the EXIF that you shot at 0.5s, f/16, ISO400. Curious as to the choice of ISO400?

Gorgeous. Is this the Sawtooths? I feel like I've seen this view before and that's what comes to mind.

Leave it to you to know that is called alpenglow!

The EXIF is not entirely accurate... this is an HDR from three images -2,0,+2... it is my very first attempt at it. I could have but don't think I set ISO to 400; I believe that the camera chose that on its own. It has a setting where it chooses the "best" ISO for a shot.

Once I figure it all out I have about 100 more I can do that I have collected over time. LOL!!!

They are the Tetons just north of Jackson, Wyo. This is one of the famous Mormon Barns - The John Moulton Barn

Great picture Steve! I hate to say it, but maybe a TINY bit hot on the colors. Instead of a LDS barn, it's closer to an LSD one... ;)

Ah, ok. Well I've never been there so perhaps I've just seen it in images before. Stunning none-the-less!

Be it for you to talk about emphasizing color in a landscape image. :) But you are correct, I overdid it... I attempted to emphasize the alpenglow and did not do as good a job as I should have.

I have a number of images from the area to process so hopefully I will do better with the other ones.

It is highly likely you've seen pictures of it and its neighbor - the TA Moulton Barn - many times before.

It has been said that the John Moulton Barn is the most photographed barn in the world. I'd guess it gets photographed by 100+ photographers a day during the spring/summer/fall seasons.

Oh yeah. A total kettle-pot thing! No question. :)
