do this during a current challenge, but I felt like crap Sunday and did a rush job on the desat entry and it's bombing. This is what I wanted to do, but didn't have the energy to figure out how to make the selection that I wanted for color. I played with it tonite, the crop sucks. I was so intent on making the fine selections that I didn't even realize I cropped it wrong till it was done...
Hope someone likes it.

It is almost good but among the tree branchess there is some reminescencess of the blue sky. What you can do about that is duplicate the layer make the second layer completely b/w and erase out only the part where the colored thing is.

Damn I hate being part color blind. Didn't even see it tell ya said so...
Edited to add: I just realized it's even more noticible in the thumbnail...

Nice idea. I think you could do better compositionally however. Perhaps get on the ground to get a different perspective. Or maybe a wider lens. (if that is something available to you) A fisheye shot would work wonders on this me thinks. |
