Soooo...I've been creeping photos here for the past year or so ;) and have been amazed at the creativity and talent I've seen.
Must have been a combination of the fact that I am actively avoiding the Calgary Stampede and that it rained all day, that I finally made the leap to try to fire some of my own photos in here!
I've been taking photos since I can remember...and actually saw my first camera (a little brown and orange wind up Kodak) at an antique store a few months ago. After I threw up a little, I managed to take a picture of it with what I refer to as my "big girl camera"...a Canon 40D and my first foray into all things digital.
Anyway...I'm really excited to be here and am always looking for feedback so I can become better!

And greetings from Cowtown as well! I live on the south side of FW. Nice to see another member so close!
Added: Ummm, Calgary? Is there another city known as "Cowtown" besides Fort Worth?

Probably. I don't think Calgary or Ft. Worth have a monopoly on bulls**t :) |

| Well, since you guys are in another country, I suppose it's ok. Kinda disappointed though. I thought we had another Ft. Worth member on board. |

Welcome to DPC from Toronto. I have been to Calgary more than 100 hundred times for work. I practically lived there while preparing for the 1988 Olympics. Partied there more than any other place - great people, great city, great photography. It will be wonderful to see some beautiful images coming from your fair city.

Thanks all...definitely looking forward to participating!
Don't know how soon I'll be up and running though...my camera had a malfunction just yesterday and it looks I will have to send it to Toronto. =( |

Hi,
I guess i should speak up to. I'm also from "Cowtown" and have been lurking around these forums for a while (august 2004 i believe it was). I too have been most amazed by the imagination demonstrated in the pictures posted on this site. One of these days soon, I'll actually get around to posting a few pictures into my profile, just as soon as i clean a few of them up so as to approach the minimum levels of talent that are exhibited on this site.
