Before the big guns who came out to play for DPL drift away, how about we tempt them with a Masters Free Study?

what exactly is a "Master's Free Study"? Have there been others before (of course...)

Basically the only people invited are those with two ribbons or more. Spectacular images ensue!

This crossed my mind as well. I'd love to see the fresh blood.

I love how you have to scroll to the 7th and final page before you find a sub-6 score. Ah well, one of these days I'll end up with a 2nd ribbon! >:-}

Yes lets do this. I only got to participate in the last one and I'd love to see if I could improve on my 33rd placing.

ouch. Then people will really see that I can't keep up with the big boys. This is scary...

It should be 3 ribbon minimum or riff raff like myself will muck it all up.

I've never had anything good enough to submit when a masters challenge occurred. It is very intimidating.

I sucked at the last one so I would definitely like to do another... : ))

All things being equal - you'd qualify Janine.

I'm all for it, but I'd say change the criteria to at least 8 ribbons and 9 honorable mentions; that'd keep the riff-raff out :-)

Well said Wendy, 9 sounds just right! Oh, and a special rule (just in case) - no Topaz allowed! :P

I'll support this if you include brown ribbons.

That could be interesting, but if it were me I would confuse people and make the qualifications more complex and difficult. :P Basically something like this:

The Ribbon Hog Qualifer
10 or more ribbons that scored over 7+ in a challenge.

The Brown Ribbon Qualifer
3 or more "Brown Ribbons" that scored 3.7 or lower.

The No Ribbon/Gold Star Qualifer
10 or more entries that finished outside of the top ten with 10+ favorites each, or 5 entries finishing outside of the top ten or bottom five with at least twenty 10 votes or ten 1 votes.

Actually, it's not a bad idea that as the site gets older, and more challenges are in the books, the criteria for a "Masters" study should increase. Of course, having said that, I don't even qualify as riff-raff, so please carry on. :-D

I think I sprained my reading bone on that sentence.
