| I wouldn't expect much for that price, but then you probably can't really go wrong for under $30. I'm sure it would be fun to give it a try and see what it does. The only thing I am not sure of is that it says it fits 52 and 58mm threads with adapter rings. I can't tell for sure if those rings are included or you have to get them elsewhere. Probably elsewhere. |

I have a similar lens adapter that I use on my kit but it is soft at best but fun....
On the site I am looking at this 8mm for under 400 bucks
8mm
Here is a shot of one similar adapter lens with the same wide angle on the Kit lens at full wide 18mm
I would NOT recommend using this on a 50mm... Not worth it IMHO |

thanks for responding everyone ... it helps to see what it could look like ...
yeah i'm just looking for something to play with ... so I thought the price was good for that purpose
Derf, I also have my kit lens .. so I could use that too
I'm a Realtor as well as a photographer .. so the soft fish eye would be great on those property shots :)

I actually have that exact lens attachment, I got it a while back to have something new to play with since i have a Nikon that only takes the af-s type lenses and such. I hook it up to my 18-55 stock lens. I've even taken it apart a few time just to play with the glass inside, not to sure i replaced them the correct way but tried a few times and didn't really see a difference lol. i did notice that the lens does pick up some flare from the sun easily but nothing photoshop or an editing program cant fix. i don't really use it as much as i thought i would or as much as id like, but it pretty kool from time to time to put on and take a couple shots. It did save me 100's of dollars tho from buying a real fisheye if you cant afford the real one i guess this would be the next best thing (in my mind) i got mine for about the same price and really don't regret getting it. I'm sure I've bought worse things for 30$ before here are a few shots i took just this past weekend with it at the beach... hope I've been of some help
ps.. these photo are rite from my camera with no editing, (-)the resize for web.
