My brother's camera finally quit. It was a predecessor model to one I have: Canon PowerShot A95.
Like me, he loves the swivel screen and small size of the camera.
Does anybody make small swivel screens anymore? He looked at the Canon SX20, but it is physically too big.
What he wants:
Big zoom, ~20x
Small size
Swivel screen
Able to shoot video
Under $400
Any help? |

I was looking at replacing my Powershot S5 with a G11, though the usual price of G11 is a little over his limit (Don't recall what the rate is between US and Canadian $...). Also the G11 does not have such a huge zoom and I am pretty sure it does not do video. I think you can buy telephoto adapter for it, however.
The EVIL cameras like the micro 4/3 look promising, but way over his price limit. He'll likely have to compromise on some aspect. |

| The G10 shoots video SD so I assume the G11 does as well. |

| Don't think you'll get a big zoom of that order in a small camera. But if he wants the zoom and the swivel, there are 2 others besides the CanonSX20 mentioned here |

As follow-up, he bought the Canon PowerShot SX210 IS.
He decided to forego the swivel screen for good zoom and small size. |
