I just upgraded from my E-10 to an E-500 today. Man, I can't believe the difference that 5 years of technology makes. I love this camera!
Ran into a bump when trying to process the RAW files, though.
Seems that something may have changed in the ".ORF" format. I used to be able to directly work on my .orf files in CS2 Bridge and RAW Therapee. Seems neither one of them recognize the new .orf format.
Any suggestions?
Only other issue that I can think of is a new XD card that I just popped in and started using. Records data from the CF card (using copy card function in camera), but NEITHER ONE has been formatted in the E-500.
Could this be my issue?
Thanks,
Scott |

Your issue is that you don't have the latest Camera RAW for Photoshop. try to update it, if it still doesn't work then you need to get a newer version of Photoshop to use the raw files from it.

I have no idea what that is to be honest with you. I only use Lightroom and CS5 to handle raw files when I shoot them. If Rawtherapee version you have is from before the E500 was released than I would say yes it needs updated. |

OK. Never mind.
It was a format issue. When I copied the files over to a hard drive directory I had no problems. Formatted both the CF and XD cards and all was well.
Thanks, Matt, for the input! |
