I bought a used 1998 Dodge Caravan in 2008 for $3000. It had over 150k miles on it so I wasn't sure how much more I would get out of it but I was in a bind and needed a ride to work. It now has 237k mile on it and still does great!
I've had to replace the water pump, fuel pump, a belt, brake pads, and a wheel bearing is all. The engine and trans are in great shape...back shocks are just starting to leak.
