Enjoy this one...

This poor dumb woman has the gall to speak about a sensitive issue like this, and yet, is so amazingly ignorant that she doesn't even know Arizona actually shares a border with Mexico... Amazing..

OMFG, and a County Supervisor, no less. SO much for intelligence on the Milwaukee County Board. Oy, makes me embarrassed to be from Milwaukee.

You forgot to mention that she's proud to be the "first Latino/Hispanic American to be elected to the Milwaukee County Board". Amazing isn't it?

LOL, Amazing isn't the word I would have chosen ;-)
I imagine that the (large) Latino population in Milwaukee is highly displeased with Ms. West at this juncture.

You can bet on it... I work in her district, which happens to be a predominantly Hispanic part of town (the nearest North-South main street is Cesar Chavez Dr.)

Damn, I came into the thread because I thought it was a new challenge. I'd have special insight. But then I remembered where my US map was and realized Minnesotta didn't share a border with Spain. Sigh.

That is nothing compared to this...remember.

A few years ago CSPAN broadcast a congressional hearing about the Mars rover. A congresswoman asked the NASA representative how far the rover had landed from the flag planted by Neil Armstrong. The poor guy from NASA had to find a polite way of explaining to the congresswoman that Mars and the moon are not the same. Our tax dollars at work.

***That was Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, a Democrat from Texas who still represents the district that includes the Johnson Space Center in Houston. At the time she was on House Science Committee, and on the Subcommittee that oversees space policy and NASA.*****
