Ok, for all you tech guys out there. I was writing a long message on a forum like this one. And I lost internet connection, then when I went to post the message, the browser stalled because there was no internet. And when I tried to back to up the previous page with my message.. it wouldn't let me, and now it's all gone!

Is there somewhere on my computer where this text might be hiding? Some sort of log? I ran through my browser history trying to get back to the page where I wrote the post.. but it's not there. I spent alot of time on this post, and don't want to completely re-think it.

If the back button does not pull it out of your cache, then I don't know of a way. I've sometime had that happen. It's pretty darn irritating, and the rewrite is never as good and thorough as the original post.

Yeah... I can't think of anything.

I've had this happen to me plenty of times, so I feel your pain. What I often do now, if I can remember and I know I'm going to do a lot of typing, is type it out in Notepad and then copy it over to the text box. Somehow that just doesn't feel the same, though...

Sometimes I will copy the text just before hitting the post button so if connection was lost text disappears all I have to do is paste it back in.

I know this doesn't help your current situation but is something to keep in mind for another time.

I always write l-o-n-g posts in Word, then cut and paste. Has saved my butt a number of times.
