Hello,
I have been working with 2 lights. This is my latest.
Here is what I see:
Petals are starting to close,
Some dark shadows on petals.
The hand was not supposed to be in the shot, however, after looking at it, I think it is better with the hand!
I'm getting two stands and umbrellas for Father's Day. I'm hoping that will help a bit.
What do you think?

I'm getting my stands and umbrella softboxes next week and have been doing a lot of reading while I wait. I found this great set of Cheat Sheets that help visualize the effects of flash angle to subject, height to subject, distance to subject, and reflectors. It may help with your shadows a bit.

Thanks for the link. I'm getting some umbrellas late this week. Post a few of your first tries. We can check each others progress.

I shot these earlier this year with two flashes and a couple of bounce diffusers. I had the main flash on an extra tripod 45 degrees on the left side of the camera above the subject. The other flash was mounted on the camera with a ceral box snoot pointing up and a flash diffuser on top.
Here are the diffusers I used.
