I wonder how stringent the voters will be with their definition of subject... :) |

Voters are pretty tough. Personally I'd say if you have two "children" it is ok....two dogs...ok....two marbles...ok...even if they're two "different" kids, dogs marbles...etc.
However, if you have one object and try to shoehorn it in with some kind of wordplay in your title, you will be destroyed. Also, IMO if you have more than two things...for example if you take a photo of a forest and your title is "Two trees in a forest".
I've seen some crazy stuff here though. You might see a DNMC on a photo of a goat and a sheep (two animals) but see a good score given to a good photo of a Goat and a Billy Goat (the Billy Goat that has an engine and sucks up trash) !

Well carrie, you should be like me and set your sights low(I'm hoping for a 2.0) so if I hit 4 I'll have doubled my expectations LOL |

It is very very hard to get a 2.0 especially in a member challenge. You should do ok unless you dropped your camera and snapped a BAD shot of your two ass cheeks.

Actually, getting a 2.0 would be an achievement in its own right--you'd be tied for the sixth-lowest-rated image on the whole site. You'd have a photo that the voters think is worse than almost every single one of the 800,000+ photos on DPC. It takes a special something to produce an image that awful!
Of course, it's not quite the same if you're not trying to score poorly, but I do hold a special place in my heart for the brown-ribbon chasers.

I disagree. Many members would find that a creative semi-abstract approach with a strong message behind it. It would get a few 9's and 10's from the out of the box crowd. Those that were offended by it would presume it was a Strikeslip entry. |

Ok...almost time...I've been looking at my entry. I feel it is a 6+ but will say it will score a 5.8xx. IMO it is one of my best entries. I feel it should take over as my new 2nd highest rated. |

Some kind of set-up studio shot will win this.

Can you only see your current average if you are a paid member? |

Yes..you can see how many votes and your total average. Paid members can hit the update button and pretty much see each vote if you are quick enough.
