This stuff is cool! Now that I have a camera that can do it... (my first camera couldnt remove the lens) I might have to make one of these things and play next time you have a challenge!

Well, I started to scan another one. Blowing dust off of the negative. Oh look -- I spit all over it. Gently wipe it off, but it just smears. Now what? Have some Photo-Flo mixed up. It's a few months old, but in a sealed jar so it should be okay for cleaning one six-frame negative. Dunk. Wipe. Let dry. Strange spots. What the... ?! Dump the Photo-Flo solution... and the chunks of whatever started to grow in it. Mix more solution. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Negative is drying.
Is nothing easy?

Something similar happened to me last night while developing a roll of 120 (my 3rd attempt). Finished product had a layer of strange spots, after much consideration, I decided that I did not put enough developer in the tank and I added a nice, well delineated, line of bubbles ant the top 1/8th of the negative.
Good luck! I hope it cleans up for you. |

Thanks. Glad to hear you're developing film now (in spite of the setbacks). Can't wait to see what you produce. |

Not me. I get the most satisfaction out of crafting my own tools. Plus -- I'm cheap.
That said, I've read nothing but raving accounts of the Zero Image. I might still have to try it out one day. You should visit f295.org or the pinhole forum over at APUG. Lots of active Zero Image users.
This isn't a pinhole image, but it's in the same spirit and should appeal to the crowd here (though I suspect, Ben, that you and I are the only crowd left!).
