I have inadvertently done something to macbook pro. Running Leopard. I'm travelling at the moment, so don't have access to back ups etc, etc.

I don't know precisely how I have done this, but somehow I have changed the screen so that all the windows are moving around when I move the cursor. (It's making me feel dizzy!) If I grab the tool bar on a firefox window I can drag it down so it is in the middle of the screen and the desktop behind it scrolls upwards
(don't know if you get the general idea from this screen shot)

I thought it maybe something to do with expose, or spaces, but doesn't seem to be. Anyone know how to reset settings to factory default without reinstalling the os?

I can use the machine, but as said, it is making me dizzy and I really need to do some work but can't while this is going on.

It sounds like you've enabled the zoom screen in Universal Access. Launch system preferences and choose universal access to turn this feature off.
