awesome hummingbird! love seeing his little feet :)
I think the other one is kinda neat.. but maybe too green? maybe the color balance is off a bit?

the green is pretty true - i wasnt all that excited about the cormorant, but still thought it was alright - i liked the stripes of color in the water and the darkness of the bird against them.

I'm on holiday on the Norfolk Broads in a fortnight, the Cormorant has made a comeback there and there maybe 20 or so of them. I love the way they just stick their wings out to dry but find them difficult to photograph as they are so dark - any tips?

that shot was taken at sunset - 20 minutes prior.
+2/3 AV - f: 7.1 - 1/300th ish shutter.

anything black is tough to shoot. if the light is too bright the black will shine from the light, and be blown out.

bracket your shots/.

EDIT: i took about 40 shots of this cormorant as it drifted past me.
