I honestly think it was a hand full of bandits that swept through town handing out 3's 4's and 5's. Either someone has very high standards or we all just got the shaft on that run if voting. 6.4 to 5.8 in a few hours. LOL.. ahhh... all I can do is laugh.

It'll go back up! Luckily it's just the beginning of voting -- low votes make a big difference, but so do high votes and those are still coming!

I've gone from 7 at 10 votes to 6.25 at 40 votes. And yes, giving a 1 or 2 and not leaving a comment is cowardly. Do these voters not realise how demoralising it is for the photographer?

nope -- there's the "has to have circles of confusion" crowd as well.

Cant comment on that. I was speaking from winners of past Bokeh challenges, it's easy to infer that:)

If you want to be a troll hunter, you go to community>who's online and open up the bottom 20 to 30 people in separate tabs. You can see what their average vote cast is and look to see who generally votes low (ie. avg below 5.0). If you hit F5, it updates in real time so if the vote average and # change, they are actively voting. Some samples of the total and average can easily figure out an average of what votes they are currently handing out.

It's not hard to do and I've found a few trolls that way.

And yes I suppose I am a troll, if honesty counts as trollish. Oh, my average vote cast? 5.47- Pretty darn trollish huh?

I actually vote a broad spectrum, and really do use the 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 and ! 10 scores.. Yes, as it works out most shots are average, why??? I vote on a bell curve, many middle score, and a few outliers, some are low, some are high...

You're just whining because you got one of the low ones. Bah, go figure out why I gave you that score. Or message me, I'll explain... Hell I'll even answer you if you call out one of my comments in the forums :)...

Your average vote cast is less than the average vote you received ;-)
