Hey guys,

I have an Apple Cinema Display (anti-glare or whatever it is called). When I calibrate it it asks for native brightness setting or something like that. I can only increase or decrease the brightness using the control on the monitor itself. How bright do you have it set? There doesn't seem to be any standard.

Thanks

Most hardware calibration tools ask that settings be put back to factory default before calibration. If there's a reset option then use that.

What calibration tool are you using? Many can tell you what the native gamma is (there's no such thing as native brightness) and whether the monitor is too bright or dim. Some Cinema Displays are so bright that you must dim them beyond even the lowest brightness setting to get the calibration accurate.

I don't have a questions about gamma. Just brightness. How bright should I set me screen? There is no factory default
