Seeking some advice if you have a moment.
I was on set yesterday and the photographer I was assisting was using Alien Bees with Vagabond II to power them. It worked really very well indeed. I was wondering whether anyone knows of any reason why these couldn't work with the Elinchrom BX series. I'm far from being an electronics wizard, but from having seen the simplicity of the setup yesterday, and given that my Elinchrom lights are only 400W each, should there be an issue? (I know that Elinchrom have the whole Ranger/Quadra setup now, but I don't really want to throw away my existing investment so I'm looking for other portable power solutions).
Thanks. |

| I would call Paul Buff and ask tech support: they won't likely make any guarantees about safety for the elinchrom products, but they might be able to assure you that their vagabond will be fine (undamaged) |
