For those that don't monitor techbargains.com Amazon has Viking 1GB CF x8 for 151.14 before $45 rebate and free shipping. Rebate expires 6/30/04.

Tiger Direct also has 128 MB Viking CF cards for $9.99 after a $20 rebate...This seems too good to pass up - anyone have any experience with this card in terms of speed, reliability (preferably with a D70)??

I have used Viking cards (512) and never had a problem. My 512 gets 145 fine, so 128 that is 36. RAW 512 gets 45, so 128 is 11. I guess it depends on how,/what ya shoot and how many cards ya wanna carry.
Myself, I would look more towards the faster cards and the write enabled cards to take advantage of that speed advantage and engineering, that the camera was built with.
