Anyone see the Aurora last night???
Amazing to say the least!!
Suprizing to see it where i live as well, I am 25 miles SW of Chicago city limits.
These pictures are me facing SE.AURORA1

Really? CHICAGO? I had no idea...wow! Very beautiful...but a tad slow loading...thumbnails, pweeze? :)

There's a tutorial that covers how to do this.

If you don't want to (or can't) do a thumbnail, links are fine... but please don't post large images directly into a chat message.

I went ahead and changed your images to links for you.

Was this visible to anyone in the upstate/central NY region? I saw one posted elsewhere from Ohio. I hadn't heard anything about it.

Edit: Ok, I see someone from Vermont in the other thread. Is this going to be visible any other nights here in this region?

Looks like it is subsiding, but may pick up again. After getting half a night's sleep yesterday, I will not e staying up this evening :P

I didnt get the chance to get out last night although the weatherman said they were seen here in Kansas. Anyone seeing them tonight?

It looks like they may be, but here in SE Wisconsin a thin layer of clouds is obscuring the view. It looks like there is a moderately bright display in the North; could possibly be reflection of light pollution off the clouds, but I'm not used to seeing it in that direction.
Hopefully it will clear later, though I doubt the display can possibly equal last night's astounding performance!
