Well at first look i would think there is NO competition.. dreamstime would win hands down...
HOWEVER.

Yesterday i wasted... er.. used part of my day to make a few graphs from my results at various stock sites...
ANNNDDD.... the results show that in regards to how much $/day I have earned... Canstock and Dreamstime are sitting at exactly the same amount... which means one is not better than the other. I have a fair bit more $$ in my dreamstime earnings.. but i have also been 'online' there for quite a bit longer.
I just got a $3.00 earnings on one download from canstock yesterday which bumped them up, and if it doesn't happen again for a month, the graph will level out.... but as for today.. they are even.. something which rather suprised me, since there isn't much action there it seems... just that you can earn more per download is worth a fair bit.

To date Canstock has been concentrating on uploads to get a good image base. The pendalum is slowly shifting towards advertising for designers so site traffic and eventual downloads should increase as that takes off.

Personally, my experience with both Dreamstime and Canstock aren't that good. I have about 20 photos on Canstock and haven't made a cent. Dreamstimes has always been slow and with 53 photos there, I've stopped submitting. It's all a question of motivation. Right now IStock and Shutterstock make me money on a daily basis so that motivates me to upload there.

If I notice a shift I might consider uploading more on Canstock or Dreamstime but it's not worth my precious time for now.

well i agree shutterstock and istock give more $$/day ... but i was just impressed with the stats that perhaps canstock isn't ALL that bad.. it IS slow there though.

or perhaps my point was.. that i was going to keep uploading there in the hopes that it will get better.. and also that it doesn't take too many $3.00 downloads to catch up to a bunch of $.50'ers or $.20'ers

Once I get a few downloads there, I'll be more than happy to upload some more! :-)
