Such a beautiful place, Siena. However, I think this capture may have suffered in the voting. A closer crop with more frontal detail of the beautiful colors in the marble would have scored higher, IMHO of course. I bet you filled you card on this trip, I know I did! |

I dig the angle, but it would've been nicer without the people in it. Would've given it 6 in part due to large crop and people in front of structure. [/url] |

I like it. But I agree that I would have cropped it closer, to get more details of the architecture, leaving in at least some of the people for the color they add. |

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I have another similar shot with no people in it that is quite nice. I also enjoy this scene converted to black and white. Using a polarizer helped to practically black out the sky. |
