And also remember that an opinion and a vote is strictly a subjective expression. Always compare your comments against those of others on the same image and to some degree this will help you gauge the ability of your observations.
Never fear the expert commentator, they often cheat themselves because they are so hung up in technique and compositional rules that they miss the simple impact of many photos.
I would rather receive a simple and candid comment about the general effect of the photo rather than an in depth anlysis of the diffrent way I should have done the image. While both are truly welcome, I prefer the former.
The important thing is to comment on as many images as possible to find your style.

I'll play devil's advocate for a few minutes.
Don't vote...
UNLESS you can be something other than an LMV. Think critically about the photos you are looking at and if you can ask yourself a few basic questions, including one I learned from Setz: What is the purpose of this element in this shot?" Ask yourself if the elements work for you, if they seem like they belong there or belong together or send a message, or if its all disjointed, ask yourself why you think that. Ask yourself why a shot appeals to you and spend more than 5 seconds looking at a shot before you vote.
