I̢۪m sorry if this question has been repeated. I tried looking in the forums first but did not find anything showing step by step how to do this.
I have a photo that is only 1600x1200 but I want to crop it down so I can print a 4x6 at 300dpi or see if I can get away with an 8x10 at 150 dpi. Currently when I go to the sizing up top [with rulers open] it says 22+†x 16+†@ 72dpi. I have tried to change it and it will not do any thing. My picture also lines up with the ruler at 22+â€x 16+â€. Help please!

Go into the image menu and choose image size. Change the dpi to 300 and make sure that resampling is turned off. This will change the dpi setting for the image without changing the number of pixels.
In this area you will also see what size you will get at 300 dpi.

Thank you. I can get it to resize by going into the menu>image size> and change the size and dpi.
But the example above with the picture I cant seem to get it to work.
Thanks for the examples |
