I recently talked to an Epson representative about ink costs for the Epson 4000. She told me that at 720dpi it is approx. $1.27/sq.ft.USD on their "Premium" lines of paper. My question is: Will this double at 1440dpi? Personally I don't think it's directly proportional because there must be an absorption/saturation point. This is something she couldn't answer with certainty and they don't have numbers for dpi other than 720. Does anyone know the answer?

Thanks. Already read it but it doesn't really address my question.
