Would have made a great night shots pic. |
Hi-ho,
Hand held, Apeture priority F/2.0, ISO200, -1.3 stops compensation. Got me 1/8th of a second... From memory I locked the focus to manual on the chimney as the AF was having problems with the flames flaring up all over the place, and I kept getting focus lock way too close.
I also had the lens adaptor on and a 58mm UV filter to keep the dust/smoke out off the lens.
Post editing I blurred the sky a wee bit, and USM'd the chimney and the other 'rubble' in the fire.
And I've got some bad news, there is no fireman, you really shouldn't surf the web at 6am :-).
I didn't get there till the main fire was over, although I could see the flames from our house though (About 2k's away, over open fields). The fire trucks were just leaving when I pulled up.
Hmmmm, it would have made a great night shot. Must remember that when Night II comes around, and get them to burn down another house :-).
Cheers, Me.
