Quick suggestion: You could try Shadow/Highlights is Photoshop CS, both shadows and highlights at 50, and highlights radius around 50 too. I think it would brighten up the foreground and show bit more detail and darken the sky at the same time, for a more balanced and saturated look.

I need to learn how to do this in Paint Shop Pro 8

I like the composition of this shot. Using some technique to dim the sun and brightening the foreground just a little (without sacraficing too much of the natural sun glare) is the only suggestion I can make :)

Are you after suggestions on improvements on this exact photo, PS work then? Are you after suggestions on improvements on the shot, how it could have been shot better, the work with the motive I mean. Or maybe both?

first i am after any advice on making the picture better from when I take the shot.

After that I am open to any edits you guys woul make.

What I would have tried is to place the camera very low more to the left near to the fence so that the sun wouldn't be seen, that would have made a nice silhouette of the fence and the horizon I think.
