wow lots of posts overnight! Yeah some of these look pretty interesting. Right now I seem to be in a sharp portrait mood, no idea why. There's always a big argument about which is nicer. I have been trying to get closer to the effect that I saw on a pro's website... there was a link here maybe a month ago. He shot for actors and such, I can't find it now or i'd post it here. He did fabulous work! I don't think there is softfocus in my version of photoshop elements 2. I don't really know what those things turn out to look like much. Is there a great deal of difference one can achieve with them? Do they look fake compaired to a soft lens or a soft filter? And when do you all think that soft focus is better than sharp?

Here's yet another version:

Fixed that little "thing" in the inside corner of her left eye, applied dreamy suite to a layer and erased around it bring detail back into hair and hands/jewelry. Brought brighness down a bit and dropped a little off the red saturation levels.

Nice photogenic young lady, but then again I do have a soft spot for redheads & freckles.

I really liked the first picture from the original post. The second image, didn't like the blue eyes and her expression is a wee strange.
But again, the first is great.
