Hey me again LOL 2 a day...wow dats alot! Anyways I had my little brother pose for me a bit today since I am mostly interested in photographing children...most the time I do it outsite but I desided to give this a chance! Lighting was...well LoL it wasn't really! I just used my flash and the light that was in the room before *blush* it's about all I can afford at the moment!
I know alto of you dont like the selective desaturature but personally I love it and everything about it! I have alot of colorfull props that I like to use and just wow I love the effect!
BUT there is one issue, the focus didn't turn out so great in all of the pictures! I was thinking it might be because of lack of light, but what appature would you recomend for poor indoor lighting with flash? I have a 35-80mm lense.
So here are a couple of the pic's

I like that last one alot, BECAUSE the rose thingi is blocking his mouth but I think it sends you straight to the eyes :)
I guess they'r not formal, and some people would call them "candid", atleast some of them, but I don't think so! They'r portraits of my lil brother hehe and I think they capture him very well :) |

Very unconventional to say the least. I like picture 5 mostly because it seems to be the least distracting from the subject, and I think it looks very good. In the first few there's a big emphasis on the colored items and not on the actual subject, usually I'd say to stay away from this method.
I usually like 2.8 for app., if you go to much under that the photos will be less sharp and even less likely to be in focus throughout the face.

hehehehe unconventional true, and I admit you do focus on the colored items first but I LOVE it hehehe! I have alot of "normal" portraits of him to, no items or anything like this one

But I dunno...I guess I'm not much for rules heh! :P If ya'll hate them then so be it, I know they are not normal portraits but that's just my style...I HATE normal hehehe :) |
