I took some shots at an abandoned refinery last week, and i got a really nice shot i wanted to enter into the nightshot challenge. however, since it was a 30s exposure, it came out looking like mid-afternoon. so i played around with it on the computer, and this is what i got out of it. does the editing help, or is the original better? (my entry in the end has nothing to do with this shot)

The edited version looks much better, my only suggestion is remove those flares with the cloning tool, wich it is allowed in the members challenge. IMHO.

yeah, i tried, but thats one thing i really had trouble with...
but to be honest, i actually like the flares. i know they don't really help with the composition, or make it a better image, but i just like the way they look. |

Edited version is MUCH more dramatic and interesting. The flares don't bother me over much.
