		| | Im looking into getting the Telephoto and wideangle lenses available for my A80. I was looking on Ebay and found some in the $40-$50 range. Has anyone bought any of these cheaper lenses off ebay? Are they worth it? I just need to know if i should pay more for the Canon brand or if i can get the same results with something cheaper.
 Thanks!

		| | I bought a 2x zoom and .5x wideangle kit. The zoom is a Kodak, the wide angle is a Tiffen. The Kodak is mediocre (purple fringing), and the Tiffen is a total waste of money (really blurred on the edges). Look at this thread:
 Canon S1 IS + Canon TC-TC52B 1.6 Tele Converter

It looks like the Canon brand is well worth the money.

		| | I looked into the cheaper teleconverters and heard less then glowing reviews. I ended up with the Canon and it works great.
Also, Canon designs their teleconverters around the specific camera while the cheaper Ebay versions are a one works for all. Being built specifically for your camera is going to yield better results, not to mention Canon has pretty good glass.

Good idea. I bought a Digital optiks for my A70 and quality was sub-par. I don't even want to talk about the blurry edges. Horrific indeed. I'm itching for the underwater housing though. *That* looks like fun! :)
