I took a bunch of photos with my new camera in Montreal this weekend. Here's one that I like a lot:
What do you guys think? Be honest; tear it apart, gush over it, whatever! |

A bit of contrast would enhance the composition. The top looks a bit overexposed. A nice gradual neutral density filter would've fix this photo at the time of the shot. This would help by darkening the sky and lighten up the building. Maybe a good choice to play around in b/w.
Which lense did you use and at which settings? DSLR users should automatically put these stats, so it would be easier to recommend the correct settings or compare lenses. |

Thanks fadoi...
I don't have any filters and the only lens I have is the 18-55 kit lens that comes with the rebel.
Nobody else with help? Here's another:

I figure if I'm going to bump my own thread for the second time in a row, I may as well post another photo:
I know that my Photoshop skills definitely need a lot of work...
Please, if any of you have any comments, suggestions or critique that you can offer me on these 3 photos I would be grateful! |

OK Mike, since you asked..
I like the Amenities one the best. I'm not a great lover of "eye candy" and this one's too dark, grainy and soft focused......Absolutely perfect for the subject. More of the same please.

Yeah, I noticed that too...and I wish I could say why it was like that. I'm a little disappointed about that in a few of my shots. |

The answer is "yes"...what's the question?
Am I shameless enough to bump this thread once again in a desperate attempt to receive some comments and critiques on my first 3 edited photos from my Montreal trip? |

I like the colors and compositions, but it seems to be out of focus.
