So, I just finished voting on all parts entries, I've gone through and clicked on a whole whack of "least viewed entries" to reset the photos, I've added a couple new favorites, and I've commented on a couple of works..
Now what should I do? And why doesn't anyone chat 24 hours a day anymore?!?! In '96.. that's all anyone did! :)

Last night I hiked through woods for 2 miles and a 1.000 foot verticle gain (the last half in the dark) for my first shoot for Night II. I slept fine.
Recommended, but you should take a flashlight. Scared myself silly thinking of what might be sneaking up on me. Turned out it was only my ego. LOL |

im glad what someone else knows what its like to not sleep.
when i finally go to bed around 2-3am i lay there for about 1-2hours then i might fall asleep but if i dont i get back up,and come back to dpc and read some more..if i do fall asleep im taking pictures in my dreams the entire time. it's insane. then i am up at 8 or so and ready to go again.
i started a thing while back where i would take a shot of nyquil at around midnight, worked well but it made me feel like crap the next day so i gave it up after about 2 weeks. so i am back to no sleep.
could it be the coffee? :)

You are still young enough to get away with it! LOL Funny, I can totally relate to what you are talking about - I dream of taking photographs, too! Sick bunch, aren't we????? :o)

I used to wade in depression and insomnia was definitely part of that mess...so I feel your pain and restlessness!
The only things that worked for me, I wouldn't recommend...I think I got the cause and the effect mixed up.

I've had both depression and insomnia for about 5 years now. Joined weight watchers in June 04, lost about 40 lbs so far and both seem to be getting better. Not only that, I have a colon disease, something growing on my spine and complications from a c-section I had 4 years ago. Back when all this was at it's worst, I joined DPC. Spent WAY too much time on here. I'm talking like 12 hours a day commenting and rating photos. Became site council (called moderator back then) and it gave me something to do to take my mind off everything else.
DPC really helped. |
