Recently, while visiting my wife's family in Rhode Island, we were driving through West Warwick when I was struck by the fact that the location of the "Station" nightclub which burned down with Great White's pyrotechnics was quite near. When We got to the "parking lot" that is now there, I was struck by the display, a crucifix for all the @100 dead from the fire and trampling, and was somewhat overcome. The scene was none less than a bizarrely ornate Mexican day of teh dead type shrine, like a spot on th eroad where a person dies and someone puts a bouquet- but multiply that times 100.
I am not posting this for any critique- but I wanted to share the raw emotion of the place. I hope some of it comes through. About 100 lives lost in a space the size of a basketball court, now just grass and parking lot. very simpl, very moving.

Such an awful thing to have happened. I bet it was emotional seeing this in person. Thanks for sharing these.
