Every time i submit a photo it is really pixely. I don't know what to do. The editing says Dimension: No dimension may be shorter than 160 pixels or longer than 640 pixels. So i change the image from being like 3453 to that, and everytime i do, it turns out like crap. Does anyone have the solution for me?

| I go to photoshop click on image, then image size, then change the width and height from a big number to a small one. |

When you change one dimension, you should have "constrain proportions" checked so PS adjusts the other dimension automatically. Do yo have it checked? |

| I found this as well, so I just use IrfanView for the final resizing. Works a treat! |

Resize at 300 ppi using Bicubic. Then save for web.
Now for Bicubic - some people use Bicubic Sharper, but I use Bicubic and apply Unsharp Mask before saving for web. |

You just need to modify the top sizes, no need to worry about DPI and such.

Set the longest side to 640px and resize. If you need some sharpening, apply USM.
Got to File > Save for Web. You can optimise it for file size. On the right to the preset dropdown there's a little 'play' icon - click on it and enter 150.
edit: yep, there's actually a tutorail somewhere on DPC. :)

Are you in Photoshop? It's just File Save for web... then look at the forum link I posted. There was detailed instruction on how to optimize the file and everything!!
