Has anyone received this before and have any experience with it?

I saw your Picture of the Day on the PowerShot User website, [//www.benel.com/powershot], and wanted to contact you.
Can I have your permission to copy your photo and make it into a desktop screensaver for everybody to enjoy? As for copyright protection, your name will appear on the bottom right corner of your photo. The screensaver is downloadable at [www.my-screensaver.com].
I will make the link to download the screensaver available as soon as I have the permissions from the selected POTD photographer.

Hi Bruce,
I've never received a note from him before, but his web site looks completely amateurish and harmless. He reinforces the photographer's copyright and puts your name on the photo. If you don't mind being associated with a fairly low quality product, then it's probably fine to give him permission to use your photo for a single, not-for-profit use for this one screensaver product only, requiring future permission for any other use of your photo. I think it comes down to just a judgment call on your part.
