I picked up my new lens today and also purchased a set of extension tubes. I found this little guy in my backyard and used him for my first subject.

That's really a wonderful macro. I'll have to consider getting one myself, but I don't have any cool bugs in my backyard (at least that I know how to find).

Woot! that lens rocks. Great close up of a mantis. I wish we'd have some like that around here :(

Eric, you and I must be on the same wavelength. :-) I just picked up that Sigma 105 lens and just yesterday found this praying mantis on my front porch.

Cool shot, BTW! I like the natural background.

The lens seems very sharp!

I was having trouble with the breeze. It took quite a few shots before I got one that was sharp.

By the way Jacko, Your bug macros is what inspired me to give these bug shot a try. Do you use a Macro Speedlight?

Im thinking about the Nikon SB-29 TTL Macro Speedlight.
